Leupold / Premier 18 x 40

Post by steve b. »

For sale:

Leupold / Premier 6.5 x 20 x 40AO EFR air rifle scope bumped by Premier to 18 x 40 x 40.

Larger Silhouette dot installed by Premier.

I purchased this scope new from Premier years ago. It has been on my Standard rimfire rifle only. Very faint ring marks, excellent condition. Well loved and taken care of.

SN# 189131M

Comes with original box, scope shade, Leupold target turrets, threaded Leupold scope caps.

Price: $1050 + shipping.

Note: Buyer has three days to look it over. If refund is wanted, buyer pays to ship the scope back and I will look the scope over. Any changes, missing parts, or other non-sense and you're out the cash and I will just send the scope back to you. There are too many people pulling scopes apart to get to internals or pulling the boosts off of scope. I will take Casheirs checks only, and I will need 5 days for them to clear.

Air gun scope?
Has the paralax been turned down to 75 yards for air guns or is it 50 yard to infinity from the factroy?
Gloss finish?

Thanks Alan

Alan,

The scope have been set to focus at 40 yards. I used it for three seasons on smallbore silhouette and had no issues with it. The factory EFR focuses at 10 meters, and I think Premier maintains the focus when they bump them. I have never shot it at 10 meters, but it works great at 40 meters.

Price is $1050 firm, + shipping.

$1050 seems high but if someone needs one they will bite.

Yep, it is.

At least it does not take up much space in the safe.

And having had 3 of those fine scopes I know that is a fair price, not a high price.

So what you are saying is I should be kicking myself in the nads as we speak for passing up a 30-50x Premier Booster Leupold for $750! How much did these conversions cost back in the days when they did them anyway? Seems the go from $700ish to over a Grand...

Dee my first one cost $650, by the time I bought one for Coates they were up to $750 (Dick was still alive). I have paid as much as $800 and as little as...well we won't go there, Christmas gifts are nice though.
