Group buy on ammo??

Post by Trent »

I did a search but didn't come up with anything. Has it ever been brought up on here? I was on SnipersHide looking through all the group buys that those people arrange and got me wondering if anyone on here has ever arranged a group buy on ammo. I shoot RWS ammo during competition and I am getting low. Is there an opportunity to get an additional discount by arranging say... an "RWS ammo group buy"?

Never heard of a group buy on ammo only on Sierra bullets from some dealers that would offer to drop ship the bullets to you if you bought over $1000 worth of product.
You may want to check with people you know that are going to attend The Southern Nationals because they usually have good .22 ammo at good prices there.

Yea, look up Cathy at Good Shooting...

Otherwise, the best I've done is take orders for similar product to reduce shipping charges...

Mike with three of you shooting you are doing group pricing without even trying! Gonna miss you at CBC but 'trust me' the boys will have fun!

I felt like a nut when I bought 8 cases of RWS at 275 a few years ago. I new it was going up, but I still felt like a nut hoarding ammo. Now I don't feel so bad with 5 cases left. I guess the price is double now.
On a similar note, I shot at yesterdays annual Good Friday match. A few years ago there were 3 full relays at 40 animals. Some guys could only shoot one rifle due to space. Yesterday was 2 relays at less than 30 animals. I guess about 1/3 of the past attendance. Very sad what the high prices of fuel, ammo and food are doing to recreation.
