cz is back from the 'smith
i had a local gunsmith glass bed and install a rear action screw in my cz452 varmint, with richards microfit stock, it is shooting much better, at turkeys i had 4 groups of 5 that can be covered with a dime, while getting new settings, i also switched from an adapeter and high buris rings to BKL dovetail mounts.
i am very happy, perhaps the limmiting factors of the automatch ammo i use was really the gun?
we will see. also got my new guy squared away with his new savage and loaner sightron.
chreers all!

If you have the time and a camera handy, I would love to see a picture of the rear action screw setup on your CZ. I want to do the same for my daughter's 452 Scout and possible even my 452 Varmint when I set it up as a prone rifle for her. Thanks!

Will do Jason, ass deep in work right now, about to embark on a 2 week film shoot. i will try and remeber to take some photos, the smit custom made the screw though it has very fine threads, not alot of thickness to work with back there.

Dave, now you have no more excuses left to not finish that Grand Slam! Sounds like even with AutoMatch the 10 Turkeys are in sight this year in our windless NH conditions. Hopefully the newbie has the feeling back in his fingers after our last session. Let me guess, he has your old rings??

hi Jud,
Colin is all set. he got some high weavers and mounted it him self, we cot the savage shooting good, i whacked 9 chickens in a row with it, missed 10 cause i was feeling invincible.
i am saving the 11mm to weaver adapters and the rings for when i am given the go ahead on the air rifle. kim is currently out of work so that may be on the back burner.
