Equipment question

Having just moved from Service rifle to Match rifle, I have seen how much a well fitting stock can mean.
My question is-
If you put a CZ in a Pharr stock, do you wring out maximum accaracy, or do you have a pig with lipstick?
Quick math tells me you can do a CZ in a Pharr with a Leupold for about the cost of a new 1712.
Am I thinkig too much and should just stick to the tried and true approach of going with a 1712?

A 1712 in a Pharr/Wooster/Nesika stock with a Leupold scope is the right formula. Variations on that theme have more to do with the barrel and the builder, and you will see custom or 40x actions, but most people figure that while they're spending a silly amount of money (I'm a repeat offender...) they might as well get the whole package.

chuck, shoot what you have, try different rifles at the various matches...silhouette shooters are always willing to let you try their rifle. Find a stock, scope and balance combo you like, then go for it. In the mean time a CZ is a good starter, while you work into the opportuity to try the different combo available, or dream up your own!!
