CZ 452 THUMBHOLE VARMINT STOCK REMOVAL

I am new here---Not much when it comes to rifle fixing
and adjustment.
So---the dumb questions for the day is----
How do I remove the stock so I can get to
the adjustment for trigger pull.
There are three screws at the trigger guard and one
further forward in the stock.
Which do i remove and do I need to remove the
scope before I do this????

I don't have a CZ so I am not sure about the screws. If they are wood screws they don't need to be removed. If they are bolts (screws) they do need to be removed. The scope can stay on.

Hey Jerry..
Thanks for the info. It turned on a light bulb for me.
The parts list refers to two screws as "front & rear
stock screws". It refers to the others as "Trigger Guard Screws".
Just realized there are 4 screws total.
So---that makes it pretty clear. Still need to figure out
if I wanna take it apart.

Yep. It's pretty straight forward. The middle screw on the triggerguard is the only screw going into the action so it needs to be removed. The screw out up under the barrel goes into a barrel block so it also needs to be removed. The front and rear screws in the triggerguard are just wood screws that hold the triggerguard on.

FYI-----I shot this for the first time Thursday.
Brand new out of the box with a Vortex scope.
Max possible score on our targets is 250.
This thing is so accurate I shot a 248 on the second target.
The first was more getting the scope zeroed in and
getting a feel for the trigger.
Keep in mind I had been shooting a Ruger 10/22 with
a heavy barrel. The best I ever got in 9 months was 242
and only once.

Nice shooting! There is a CZ forum over on rimfire central. I don't suggest going there though. A few visits and you'll likely start doing all kinds of mods to your rifle and want more CZ rifles.

You should be able to take the action out of the stock without screwing anything else up. When it goes back together, it may be off a click or 2 but you should be able to overcome that little problem. All of my silhouette rifles retain their zero's when I take them out of the stock and put them back in again. It never has been a problem for me. I do use a torque wrench to put them back together again.
