Like I said, the competition really intimidated me, and I just bugged out. Obviously I wasn't in my right mind! As a "B" shooter I shot a 21/40 with this gun to break out. I must be an idiot! Hey, yall just be ready for me next season!BlauBear wrote:Dang! You left that in the car and shot the Norinco?!

It takes awhile to gain enough confidence to be yourself in front of this group. Strange, because we're all so independent otherwise, and maybe that's the reason - lots of strong personalities running around.

Hey, how's it goin?
I've been shooting a bone stock 10/22 (except for the Hogue stock) for Hunting Rifle since I started (last year).
The stock barrel is good for maybe 2MOA, and but the stock trigger is quite crappy indeed!
I'd planned to build this into a 1/5 scale worthy rifle (starting with the KID lol), but decided instead to hold out for a 1712. It seems to be where most SB shooters wind up anyway.
Hang in there, man! We want you to keep coming out to shoot!

I understand this post is 3 years old. I was just curious how you ended up with the stock? I have the EXACT same predicament. I shoot left, but someday want my Daughter to shoot it. I ended up putting the Boyds Evolution on mine, and it works fine, but now looking at the Odyssey since I will be using the same 10/22 target for Gallery Rifle in the winter. Leme know what you found out, or how things worked out? thanks.
DOPE? Boy, do I look like a hippy to you?

Re: Yet another 10/22 Shooter
I know 10/22 are not the best choice for the silhouette game. But I was shooting beside Scott yesterday at Milroy and he shot a 37/40 with his 10/22. Luke Johson was on the other side of me shooting an anschutz and he shot a 37/40 with it. Seem like pretty good scores for hunter class. My overall score was better that there score but not by much.
Guess I should have been shooting my 10/22 instead of my other rifle.
I think Scott took 2nd master at the PA state shoot with the 10/22 also.

Another great example that it's not the equipment used but it's the shooter that makes the difference.....

Yeah, I bought a 10/22 target tactical, and souped it up. I get .8 moa with it using Wolf MT, that's plenty of gun for silhouette, anything that's missed is certainly my fault.
