1710 barrel dimensions, barrel taper????

1710 barrel dimensions, barrel taper????

does anyone know the barrel taper and barrel dimensions for the 1710 23 5/8 length ? thanks in advance because I know we have to many intelligent people reading this.

The 1710 Heavy barrel has the same contour as the 1712 Silhouette only a tad thicker.

Ans1710 1.000" for 2.75" then taper to .810" over 4" then straight taper to .685" (within .010" or less at any point)

Ans1712 .990" for 2.62" then taper to .720" over 4" then straight taper to .585"

Just to be sure that you understand, you do not have to match the contour of the factory barrel when rebarreling the rifle. The barrel need only be tapered and the rifle make weight. Any of the 'smiths who are likely to rebarrel it for you can make recommendations that will make weight.
