Short Action ADL take off needed

Post by old sparky »

My son fell and broke a 1 1/2" chunk off the bottom of his 700 ADL short action 243 stock out hunting last year. Its getting time to go again and I need to fix him up. I need to either stick a thick recoil pad and spacer on it or find a ADL short action stock. Anyone have a wood take off cheap? I figure I could put out a feeler before getting a pad and spacer.
thanks, Sparky

I may have something you can use. Send me a PM

Ebay and other places may also have them really cheap, you should try them Benchrest Central, Gunbroker, Auction Arms, etc.

I have the junior, and the standard ADL stocks in black plastic. I guess 40 bucks each plus shipping is fair. Let me know if this helps.

Lone ranger I sent a P.M
Ter that sounds like a good deal but the boy wants another wood stock. I know plastic and synthetic is more reliable but he likes the looks of wood.
thanks for the responces, Sparky

You might take a look at Boyds for a new wood replacement. They make some OEM stocks for Remington and they were advertising walnut 700 stocks recently, in ADL and CDL.

I have a really nice ADL stock that has been pilleer bedded and pakmyer pad installed. The length of pull is 12 3/4" so am looking for something longer. Would take $115.00 for it shipped to you. It is in verey nice shape. Thanks Tom.
