Does anyone know twentytwoguy on rimfire central I want to buy one of his auctions but they won't accept my email address . I know this isn't really the fourm for this but it pertains to my rifles hopefull trigger. Thank you for understanding my distress.

I too have heard that dumb a$$ Marvin Pearson from some small town in Soth Western Washington State can do these types of jobs for Anschutz trigger conversions on a Remington 541/ 581 action. Ya know, thread the receiver, install a quality barrel, ( Shilen ) , basically build the whole gun into something that is worth whatever it costs. From what I have heard, he has done more than a few! I'd even betcha that some of the fourty's in smallbore hunter rifle shot at the Nat's were done on just such a gun.

Also from what I understand, is that this 581 / 541 conversion requires some specialized precision machined parts and some serious TIG welding by a pro, not by that dumb a$$ Marvin I am told, plus drilling and tapping the bottom of the receiver to accomodate a specially designed trigger guard to complete the custom instalation. I heard that he has designed the all of the parts and built all of the tooling required to make said parts on his Fadal 40 x 20 CNC and used to sell them for like 15 dollars an hour. I also heard that everyone who wanted one that did not buy one said they just thought that dumb a$$ Marvin was just trying to screw them. Oddly enough, these complaints from what I heard came from south of the Mason Dixon Line. Go Figure.

I have also heard the he has even done perhaps twenty of these Anschutz 5018 / 5025 bolt on conversions for Remington 700's. None of at nasty unreliable Briley hanger chit for him after several bad experiences from what I have heard.

I have even heard that he has all of the dimemsioned drawings that even a first year apprenticice machinist could understand.

I'm sure he would be willing to sell you the drawing, if you are interested, along with a piece of material to complete the job, and an old rusty file, and say, have at it young feller, and good luck to you...




Now seriously, now being retired from the gun business and working in the comercial sector has been the best decison I have made in a long while. I reired from my job as a R & D machinist / programmer at Boeing in 1991 when I was 39. Hunted and fished hard for wild salmon and steelhead and loved it. I went to a match with one of my guns and no one believed me when I told them I made it in my garage.

I know what you mean Marv! Back in my edjication days, I was told that it was safer to fly in the Bermuda Triangle than to cross the Mason Dixon line.

I took it out becuase my question was anwsered ... There is no one but Marvin Pearson that can plave a 5018 Anschutz Trigger in a Remington If I offended you some how Mr. Pearson it was not my intention I have mo idea how I got caught up in the middle of some blood fued. I simply wanted to keep my question up date.I don't get involved in peoples personal vendettas. Mr. Pearson I admire your work every rifle I ve seen of yours is a absoulte tack driver and a peice of art. Your machine work is seconed to none and all I wanted was a Marvin Pearson custom rifle or the closest thing that was possible. I'm not a mean spirted person but I belive you have me pegged wrong, however everyone is entitled to there opinion. I know this won't change your mind about me but atleast you'll know the truth.
