OK then it sounds like I don’t have to worry about cleaning too much, until accuracy seems to fail or I am not going to shoot for a while.

Can I safely assume that all leaded target velocity bullets are lubricated or should I lubricate these if they feel/look as if they aren’t? Some bullets like the Lapuas seem quite shiny and feel greasy while other feel and look as if nothing has been applied.

I read a thread where people were using a mixture of Lee Ablox mined with mineral turpentine as well as people using PAM spray, although I have to confess that I don’t know what the PAM stands for. Any clues or advice on this too would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Craig.

I believe all of the of the target ammunition has a wax coating on them. Each manufacturer has there own so, they will look different. I have some Lapua that looks gray (Midas) and some Lapua that looks black (Super Club).

Federal 711B in particular is a little dry, and some rifles prefer a little Pam.

Thanks for that then. That will help me heaps. I now should enough information to get me into some trouble. Now all I have to worry about is finding the scope settings and start shooting those little steel animals.

Cheers,

Craig.

Pam? Pam?, Jerry is that the same Pam, that gave you 20 kinds of hell for wanting to stay and shoot the HP match at the President's day match a week ago due to the high winds, and is that the same Pam who after the match, that I ask her 'Pamie am I to take it that you didn't want Jerry to shoot the HP match? and her reply was NO, NO it's just that I don't understand women at all! That the same Pam?

Trust me JB YOU do not understand women. Not that any man does, but certainly not you. It does look like the same Pam to me.

The Pam in the previous picture is the Smallbore Rifle Silhouette Pam.

The High Power Rifle Silhouette Pam looks more like this...

For some reason????? we get along better during the Smallbore matches.

Yep that's the one I'm talking about! One minute she was givin you the business for wanting to stay and shoot, and then she was like a high school cheerleader when you were shooting turkeys, and then let me have it when all I did was ask a simple question! Shakes, are you taking all of this in?

Mary, The question is, Is there any hope for me though?
