Re: Thinking of trading my EMcD 7-08
I'm just seeing if the right trade is out there, and not really looking to sell outright. Unless a trade I can't live without pops up, I'll be keeping the rifle and running it as I am now, hang onto the stock and have the option to drop it back into sillywet form if I get the hankering to shoot HP again.
She shot a 1000yard F-Class match last weekend, mainly to just see if the older Douglas barrel with its 1:10ish twist would stabilize 162 Amax's. Well, it did and now that I know that, I can play with load development and get damn close to 260 long range performance with the right load. I only shot a 501/600 with it, but it was my first time shooting 1000yd on paper and you can ask anyone that shoots AZ how the wind can be at BASF when a front is moving in
It will serve me well as a dual purpose rifle, but if it would serve a silhouette shooter that happened to have a nice "tactical" 260 build that they don't utilize for some reason better, then that would work out well for two guys. I've just shot more practical precision since I had it built than HP, and really like the silhouette community. If if I can get an EMcD into the hands of a sillywet shooter and get my hands on a 260/6.5 Creedmor at the same time, well that'd be a win/win.
If nothing turns up, oh well, I'm happy to keep her too. Here she is in her precision clothes:

I do still have my SB rifle, not getting rid of it, even though I haven't shot SB in a while.
I may be moving the stock to raise some dough, let me know if you are still interested Blueline.......
