Got 5 in a row
This was indoor on paper and got 5 pigs in a row, 2nd row, March 10th first time; That evening with my one and only 39a. Naturally, I did not qualify for a pin....darn. We move outdoor first Thursday in May. I wonder what it feels like to get your 1st five pin?

Re: Got 5 in a row
I hope you don't mind if a I laugh!!!! What keeps one coming back every week? ................I know I can do it....I know I can do it. We have one master in our group, 2 triple A's, and all they do is laugh at me or, "Better luck next time" "To Bad" Then laugh. Yup, then a couple others will just smile. I don't know why I keep coming back for punishment. I guess because they are really nice guys at heart! {Edited]timbertoes wrote:how about shooting your first 5 in a row, followed by 0 (zero) in a row.... last saturday ! that mentally broke me the rest of the day.

Re: Got 5 in a row
I got my first 5 in a row yesterday. I got it on Rams (cleared 12/15 rams!). I have been looking forward to it for a few matches and I can tell you that it feels pretty good for a newbie! Then I followed up my acheivement by adjusting my scope the wrong direction on turkeys and killed my score. Would have been my 2nd AA score in a row I it weren't for that screw up! (shot a 29/60 in hunter... missed it by one hit)
like you said... next time!
like you said... next time!

And when you get 5-in-a-row of everything, you have a mini slam. A big step when you are moving up thru the ranks.

The 5 in-a-row Turkeys is going to be a tough one.

Speaking of mini-slams Heavybarrel has an official mini-slam pin. Maybe he can post a picture of it for us.

Re: Got 5 in a row
When I got my Grand Slams in Hunter Pistol (many years ago) I got the Turkeys before the Rams in both guns. Some times if you feel it is out of reach and don't want it too badly (try too hard) you will surprise yourself, relax and shoot like you are supposed to. Get thinking too much about getting the pin and you usually forget to think about shooting. Remember - shooting is a mental game. Have fun – practice - the rest will work itself out.Trent wrote:The 5 in-a-row Turkeys is going to be a tough one.
