Went in the gunstore to get some .22 snapcaps.....



walked out with a fairly decent looking Sako M78.

I think I will stop with this one! well, have to because my firearms saving$ are all gone now.

Actually even though I needed snap caps, it was a ruse...I knew the Sako was there, they just traded for it a few days ago. We had a deal to let me have first dibs on it, when it was booked in.

Have to sell my .221FB CZ though, I have no funds for a good scope!! And soon enough I will have to find the $$ to join the Haltom City club.

I will also sell my Redfield sights for the Rem 540XR. I hear they are in good demand, just not sure what the top price is on them. The bay's completed listings dont have any.

timbertoes, make a search in Ebay for Redfield sights and you will more than likely find some similar to what you have. The more popular are the Olympic, International and 75. Depending on the condition you can expect to get $100 to $150 for the first two and $60 to $100 for the 75. Redfield front sight also depending on the model, number of inserts, condition, etc. $50 to $75 or more. I buy and sell there often.

Thanks, in fact I have one person, a 540xr collector that will pay $125 for the Rear sight. While I might be able to squeeze a few more $ out of it on the bay, its better to help out forum friends (at rfc). he just needs time to pay. as you may recall this is the Dogleg attachment sight.
Must say, I have never really had any interest in using Iron sights.

The unkown though...is will all the hardware COME OFF!! those screws have been on there a looong time
