Smallbore targets?

Post by Borg »

Is there anywhere I could download the size of the critters, so I can make up some swingers?
I downloaded some off this sight that the ram didn't look like full sized.
I also have a question about what they talk about when they say 1/5th size targets,,when are those used?
Like I said,, noob

I'm sure a bit of a search here or on Rimfirecentral will turn some up. I think there used to be a link to some from the Index Page here.

All of the time...for sanctioned Smallbore and Hunting Rifle matches, that is. The Hunter's pistol targets (outlined size and shape) are used for the Pistol Cartridge Lever Action game.

Now...about that link... ~x(

Try looking at this site and all it's sections for your targets and information on size and Silhouette, etc.

DAGS Target Express. It's a program that allows you to print, all of the silo targets from air rifle to HP, as well as NRA targets. You can download a trial cop for 30 days. Price, I believe, is $15.00

I DL the ones off the cox site, but the ram is as small as the turkey.
Ram is 6- 1/2 by 5-1/4, the turkey is 6-1/2 X 4-1/4.
Did I get the wrong ones?
Thanks
ETA, just went back to the site and dl and printed them,, for some realson the turkey was enlarged.
It was dl from the NRA site, looks like I'm set now.
Thanks

Go to the NRA site.

1/5 is their size in relation to the full size HP targets.

I had this same problem a few years ago. I went to a printer who makes large prints. They just downloaded the prints from the NRA site for me and printed them to scale on plain paper. I then cut out the images, traced it to a piece of masonite(plywood or anything thin works). I place the cut out masonite on some black craft paper and use a razor knife to cut new targets. :D

I see it was referred to but with no link to the site. So here is the correct page at the NRA Silhouette site http://www.nrahq.org/compete/dept-silh.asp

I have looked for scaled 10 meter paper targets for indoor air rifle practice and have had no luck. Sure would like a link if anyone knows.

Pete,
Have you looked at this option?

Its not a 10 meter air rifle target, but a smallbore 50 ft. target. If you've got 16 more feet, it might work.
