Hi,
New to the forum and hooked on Silhouette shooting after one match.

Here are pictures of my 77/22 Hunter class. Maybe not the best or the most popular but great working gun for Hunter class. I have put a RifleBasix Trigger and T-16 El Paso. Just kept is simple and she shoots just fine better than I can. Shot my first Silhouette Match here in Arizona and now I am hooked. Hope to get better with practice.

I like the 77/22 it was the 2nd hunter rifle I used....My first was a Winchester 310 with a 4x scope.....sorry about you catching that infection..silhouette unfortunatly for you it is incurable and expensive to treat properly...have a long life.

Malinios....it is quite treatable, and you can't take your money with you...and your dogs don't care!!

Good rig. Love those "steel" Weavers.

When I started I showed up with a similar rig; NS522 w/6-18x Bushnell Trophy. A close friend (and far better shot than I) gave me some excellent advice:

"Buy a case of decent ammo; Aquilla, Fed 711B/714, CCI Std Vel or similar. Don't change a thing on the gun. Shoot the case of ammo. Then you will know exactly what to do next."

Seems he was given the same advice from top national shooter who "lurks" at our club. He's now AAA and I darn close to same.

PS.: Malinois , I just love the Winchester 300 Series. Don't sell that 310! Have a 320 I just love, bit beat up but shoots well. It would be the last 22 I'd ever give up. Made the mistake 17 years ago in selling a fine one for a different rifle (traded that one away too).

Those Winchester 310's and the repeater 320 are excellent little shooters...it was given to me by my dad when I turned 10. I plan on passing it along. I have her in excellent shape and shoot it once in awhile...welcome aboard....oh Mary is right the food and great fellow ship at the matches is excellent as you will soon see when you start hitting the matches.

Thank you all for the warm welcome messages and kudos on the gun. What I have relized that here in forum, there is a tight group of web friends and also friends that get together at matches and also friends that get together at National or State Championship matches. Hopefully I will someday also be part of that group. I might have some questions from time to time but I will always use the Search function first. I wil also try to participate in the having fun and laughing as I do believe laughter is sometimes the best medicine.

Be careful though! Part of the local initiation right seems to be coming back from a major illness, and you're welcome to skip that part. The makeup range time great, but the humility of starting over is pretty hard.
