Problem with Jewell trigger?

I have had a reoccuring problem with the sear return spring breaking in a Jewell HVR trigger with extended use (about every 2000 rounds). I have spoken with two custom rimfire rifle makers and both have seen the same problem with the HVR but not with the BR model. They seem to think that the spring hits a bushing on the safety mechanism and causes a whiplash effect on the end of the spring. After repeadted firings the spring tip shears off. The symptom of the broken spring will be that the sear will usually not remain engaged when the bolt is closed. Sometimes if the sear engagement is increased or the trigger pull dramatically increased the failure to remain engaged is intermintent. We think we know a work-a-round for the problem but I am trying to find out how widespread the problem is so I can talk with Jewell about possible changes. So, I am wondering if anyone has noticed this problem with their HVR triggers. Remember that the BR version of the trigger doesn't seem to suffer from the same problem.

I have two Jewell triggers a 10 oz and a 2 lb and both have had this problem. They are in a NULA 22lr (New Ultra Light Armr) made by Malcom Forbes in WViginia. Malcom has talked to Jewell on this problem and they both state that it's not their problem. Malcom blames the trigger and Jewell blames the return ramp on the bolt.
Malcom has reshaped the ramp on my gun and Jewell has fixed the triggers (free) but Jewell has said that it's the last time they will do it for free. Even after the reshaped ramp one of them broke again.
I really like the Jewell triggers but If they break again I'm replacing them with a Timney.

It happend on my ULA and one other persons, the 3 of us shoot together and all 3 shot the ULA's as PPKNY. (For the record PPKNY copied us )

I sold my ULA since then, but I'm sure the new owner may have the same problem even after Mel worked on the bolt, as I wasn't confident it was Mel's bolt design causing the problem seeing, according to Mel, not one Timney trigger had a problem.

Timney is a personal favorite that has always performed reliably at a very decent price. Their new versions are identical to previous models except the internals are cerracoated, so a good thing got better. My new Stiller high power came with one and I really like it - highly recommended.

I have one Jewell BR trigger set at 4oz, one two stage set at 2lb 2oz., and two Jewell HVR with bottom safety set at 2lb 2 oz. All of these are on Remington 700 or 40x actions, not a problem with any of them.
Do you think this may have something to do with ULA action and not the trigger?

So far the only people who have reported problems with the Jewell HVR trigger on rimfires are those who have NULA and Hall actions. Jewell blames the actions as the culprit. The concerns I have about that explantion for the problem is 1) why does reducing the size of the bushing on the safety lever seem to fix the spring breakage problem and 2) why isn't there a problem with the BR model of the trigger (which has no safety), and 3) what other rimfire actions are there that are Jewell compatible besides these two actions and are they not having this problem? (I would guess that the Rem 40X is the only other action and how many of those are using the HVR style trigger vs the BR). I would be useful to hear from those who have other types of actions are are using the HVR trigger and shoot alot (excess of 2000 rounds a year)to see if their actions work fine.
