My 54.18 converted to Hunter class by Senor Evelio

Post by hambone49 »

Lilja 4 groove 21 inch barrel, the sweetest 2lb 5018 trigger, Leupold premier boosted 18-40, and 2 tenths of an ounce under 8.5 lbs. Evelio says one more sticker will put me over.

OK, but after you left today, that ugly rifle shot a lovely 31 in the 3rd match. Thanks again, Evelio.

assuming thet the scope tube is 1" it looks like the height may be in excess of 2" above the center of the bore, if not it is pretty close.it IS pretty though.

Hi Handsome, and thanks. Actually for Hunter it would have to be 1.5 inches from the top of the receiver. This one comes in at 1 3/8. I think the pic makes it look like more.

The 2" rule for scopes is measured from the top of the action to the bottom of scope tube and not from the center of the bore. The center of the bore is used for a couple of other measurements on the stocks.

of course you are correct, my jumble of silo rules got convoluted by some old brady bunch song lyrics and a twinkie :?

by the way does anyone know where i can get bottom metal for a 452? i have a stock coming (eventually- microfit) and it should be pretty i would hate to put the ugly stamped bottom metal on it, i am specificly looking for aluminim (or how ever it is fon-et-ic-ly spelled)

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but I'm pretty sure this is the same rifle I saw Evelio use to hammer in tent stakes at our last match.
