Match reporting

Post by Fick_2141 »

I got my NRA approval and have completed a match. I got my scorebooks, score cards, and scorebook remmitance forms, but I did not recieve any Match jury reporting cards. The NRA site refers to them, but doesn't have any way to download them that I can see.
I am shooting NRA approved matches.
How do I get the Jury reporting cards ?
Can I make them ?
Can I email the report ?
Can I save up the money recieved from selling score books and send the remmitance for sold books, and unsold book stubs at the end of the season, or should I sent them after each match that I sell scorebooks?
Thank you for your help.

You should have gotten them (Jury Reports) with the approvals. I think they have to be mailed. Call NRA HQ and let Greg know, otherwise later, some secretary will be trying to body-slam you for not sending them in. 1-800-672-3888 x-1474 for Greg.

Personally, I send in the form and $ for the books as I sell them. Might hold a month or so, but not all year. Send the unused stubs at the end of the year.

Keep all records for at least 6 months or until the smoke clears. Remember, you are dealing with folks in the DC area. Something in the water !!!

Where are you?

Good luck

Fick,
Nice web page on the site. Have Seen Harris in about 4 or 5 years, he bought his granddaughter to a state air pistol silhouette in FL, she was quite a little shooter.

I owe everything I know about silhouettes to Harris Putnam. I spoke with him several months ago about restarting our program. Harris no longer competes. It seems that his eyes have left a great shooter, and supporter of our sport behind. I'm sure it breaks his heart. I know it breaks mine.
I remember Harris always hitting in the high 30's on match day with his BSA Martini with 50X Leupold boosted by Premier Reticle.
Those were the days. I wish I could contact all those great shooters that were silhouette fanatics. I have looked for them here, but have had no luck.

Fick,
I have known a few of the oldtimers that have lost the eye sight....but the man that introduced the fine sport in Florida Luis Uribarri is no longer with us. Still stay in touch occasionally with his right hand lady and wife Lydia, and my mentor for shooting with a scope known to some of us as Pop's left us two years ago...so we go on, haing fun and I'm now teaching three young boys, 10 to 12. Quite a handful but challenging also.

Glad to see you guys getting back to work. Spent many a day with Harris, Mac, Buster, Brian and others at your club. I think we have people from here (Hiawassee, GA) shooting in Rutherfordton and Reedy River in the next couple of weeks. When are your matches going to be?

Good luck

My matches at PCGC are on the second Sat. of the month. The Piedmont club is the 3rd Sat. Reedy River is the 4th Sat, and Ashville is the first.
I really like shooting with Benny Griggs at the Piedmont Club, but when the weather gets nice I shoot High Power on their week.
Go to www.polkcountygunclub.org for more info on my matches.
One of my new shooters is a colege edumacated video editor. I have shanghied him into helping me make a short movie featuring our silhouette matches. It should be pretty good when we get it done.
I'm thinking four or five minutes with all the important info, and some spectacular shooting (provided by me of course) should have people all accross America calling me a liar. "There's no way a .22 can do that...The video is a fake" ...Yada Yada Yada....I'm counting on all my friends to set them straight.

Fick,
I look forward to setting them straight, as well as seeing the video clip.
