If so what style? I'm thinking of using one for my Standard Barrel 40x

yep. I wish it had more drop. Pretty wood. Took 10 months to get. I ordered a Pharr stock to put the gun in, cn't seem to get motivated to swap.

we have a tacdriver style on my dads remington 700, pretty wood, took only nine months for ours

I use one for my Rem 700 in 7m/m-08 heavy silhouette rifle. I love it it fit the rifle as advertised and came to my house 30 days after ordering in Jan 2008. 7day shipping time to AR. from San Fernando CA.

I've used both Microfits and Boyd's VIP laminated stocks. Microfit was a Culbertson Prone, and the Boyds was a Target/ Varmint model, both chosen to get the high cheekpiece. The Microfit was far rougher, the Boyds was much better both in the accuracy of inlet and exterior finish.
Why most of this may or may not matter......
-You will likely as not glassbed and/or pillar bed the action anyway
- Laminated stocks, while both stiff and stable are heavy. Both of these stocks required extensive thinning, shortening, shaping, and altering to make weight and fit the jig (rule book) especially for hunter rifle.

As long as you enjoy woodworking and finishing, you can make yourself a pretty nice custom stock though.
