The part of this whole deal I can't yet fathom is that today I got in from being away on business since Sat. Took the liberty of a few hours this afternoon at the range and shot darn well with my Cooper 57M. Even was bragging to my oldest son (who shoots a Jackson Hunter in AA). Then a bit later I look at the forums and all changes.
Now next trip or match at the range as a result of no action of our own we will most probably become brunt of political outrage. I don't want any chance that my sons be involved in that at all.
Can't afford to replace these in this economic times (I really do like the guns too!) as prices surely just dropped big time. So looks like we'll just pass on any competion for the foreseable future to avoid any conflicts.

So it says - he was "asked" to resign and did. He really was foolish to do this and go public since it helps no one and hurts Cooper (the company) and everyone associated with it.xpilot wrote:As far as I know, the Coopers' Board of Directors voted him out. I think he is already gone

Ownership?
The fact that his name is on the building and the business implies that he has some ownership stake, even if he is no longer CEO. In the case of a presumably family owned business, it's almost impossible to separate the family members from the business.
No doubt the employees and the entire company will suffer from Dan's support for Obama.

it is a shame that all of have ancestors who have dies for our political freedoms to be up held , and then people being boycotted and written off because their views differ from ours. i dont care who dan cooper supports or dosnt . it is his right to choose.
dont want a cooper ,dont get one. they are very nicely made and for some shoot very well.
dont want obama, vote mccain. in new hampshire i have seen a crap load of obama supporters every where very few mccain wavers and sign holders. you "getting back at cooper" will not help mccain. i AM a republicain i did vote "absentee ballot" mccain.
i recently read a post on another forum asking if obama, bin laden and some one else was standing togeather which would you shoot first.
is this the kind of way we wish to be viewed? not me
the is this kind of crap, although a right to say it, is not helping our side.
we look like yahoos and inbred rednecks ala " thats only good for shootin cans, afri-cans and purto ri-cans ayuh!"
i support ted nugents thoughts and his right to express them but who is he trying to convince? we are already on his side, he will never change the oppisition. who does that leave the on the fence moderates.
may be off topic .if obama wins it is cause republicans did not vote not because dan cooper gave some money. obama may be right about one issue voters and bitter gun guys.
perhaps obama has social platforms besides guns that maybe important as well to dan? i dont see any merit to barracks views so i did not vote for him.
i do think sarah will make a fine president
i will most likely be banned now- so just give some thought to ALL our freedoms before this is deleted

This election, thank heavens, is just about over, so vote. However you're going to vote, just vote! A lot of good people - Democrats and Republicans - have died so you could do that, so honor their sacrifice by voting.

Talking about something being in ones hat over his views, ask Mr. Zumbo what he thinks about those black rifles now, and he was one of us. Silhouette13 you have stated your mind, no harm no foul from me, good for you!
