Vote for George Wallace. :D

My age is sneaking in a bit. Of course I can probably dig out a can of Goldwater.

Hey lets not forget that dead people have voted in the Big O's hometown so why can't we vote for dead people in our hometowns?

Take This Obama

This is my last post on this subject and maybe any others dealing with politics. I have never really ever been a leg man, but Helen Keller, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can see that Sarah's got a pair of them, legs I mean!

The vast majority of people cast their votes based upon emotion. The office seekers and political machines know this and prey upon our emotions. Fear is a powerful emotion. This makes mud slinging far more effective than running a clean campaign.

Although easy to do, very few voters will take the time and trouble to research a given candidate or issue.

Post by glen ring »

Thank Goodness we live in America , where we can state our opinion freely.

Sarah Palin is a conservative woman.
Sarah Palin is a wonderful Mom.
Sarah Palin likes to hunt.....with guns.
Sarah Palin is a runner.
Sarah Palin is a great manager.
Sarah Palin is a great looking woman!!! ( Jim You're right on the leg thing)

I consider All those factors when I'll be casting my vote for John Mccain in November and I'm very excited in thinking that four years from now She would be in a great spot for President.

Glen,

Not to mention that Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska is in charge of the first defense to Russia. She has more experience in foreign affairs n most people give he credit for. I cannot wait until she debates Biden!

Biden Palin debate

Post by glen ring »

I think America will be watching their debate. Obama and Mccain will be the same old same o.

Sara Palin has me very excited and wanting to get politically active again.
Oprah didn't want her on her show, Whoopi Goldberg is critical of her speech and apparently HEART issued a warning to stop playing "Barracuda" . I
I know I'm only one voice, but I'm gonna let those folks know what I think.

I congratulate them on being politically active and god bless them for stating their opinion as a fellow American, so I hope they feel the same way about me.
I'm not going to purchase another Heart CD, purchase anything connected with Oprah and I'm going to continue to ignore Goldberg.

I thank every young man and woman that has served in the Armed Services to secure my right to free speech.

When I was in the Air Force we watched a training film of a fire on board the aircraft carrier, USS Forrestal, in 1967. It was hell on earth with exploding munitions and burning jet fuel. One can find this footage on the internet, and although the quality of the tape is not so good, you can see Lt. Commander McCain jump out of his burning aircraft and run through the fire. Seconds later as he is trying to help another pilot, an explosion knocks them down. As I recall, about 130 sailors died.

McCain was injured and could have gone back to the states. Instead he volunteered to transfer to another carrier and was shot down three weeks later.

For comparison, Senator Biden avoided serving in Vietman by receiving five educational deferments, and then was declared medically unfit.

And today Obama says he thought about joining the military, but did not as it was 1979 and the Vietnam was over. That just pisses me off.

McCain is the first candidate either party has run in a long time with impeccable war time credentials. George Bush Sr. was the last one I remember and then you have to go back to Carter for actual military service. It seems like Regan was Army Air Corps, but that was PR.

What's the proportion of former military on this board?

Bear, the proportion of Military on this forum is not the issue. Voting for two LIBERAL panty-waist a-holes is the issue. How could anyone with any sense of self worth vote for Obama-Biden when they want to expand government, raise taxes (yours included), and generally make jimmy Carter look like the best President ever!

I might say that if we survived Jimmy Carter, then we may be able to survive a Muslim in the White House if we are so unfortunate as to have the Democratic Party win this crucial election. Not to mention the possibilities of what idiots that they would appoint to the Supreme Court!

Trying to get my post count up! The following is why some people are Democrats!

Reasons I am Voting Democrat-

I'm voting Democratic because an inexperienced US Senator gives
great speeches that make me feel good.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe the government will do a
better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe oil companies' profits of 4%
on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same
gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe three or four elitist
liberals need to rewrite the Constitution through judicial fiat
every few days to suit some idealists who would otherwise NEVER get
their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democratic because I don't want a stimulus check to
spend. Let the government spend it for me.

I'm voting Democratic because freedom of speech is fine as long as
nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe that business should not be
allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and
give the rest away to the employees (after taxes).

I'm voting Democratic because I'm not concerned about the slaughter
of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe that churches should only be
allowed for political speeches.

I'm voting Democratic because I don't want Doctors who were at the
top of their classes to operate on me. I want a government employee
who makes $50k a year and couldn't hack it as a contractor or an
engineer doing my surgery.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe that paying $4.00 a gallon
or more is no reason to drill for the mountain of oil we are sitting
on in THIS country.

We wouldn't want to have to move a couple of polar bears now would we?

I'm voting Democratic because when we pull out of Iraq, I trust that
the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think
we're good people.

I'm voting Democratic because I like it when planes fly into
buildings full of civilians. I want to see more of that.

I'm voting Democratic because I believe that when the terrorists
don't have to hide from us over there, when they come over here I
don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democratic because I don't want to eat poison food and
drink infected water. We all know Republicans love that stuff.

(Ever wonder why the most left wing country in the world (China) is
the most polluted?)

I'm voting Democratic because I believe that people who can't tell
us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps
will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democratic because I love the fact that I can now marry
whatever I want. I'm going to marry my TV.

I'm voting Democratic because I REALLY believe there is no bias in
the media.

How anyone votes is a personal matter, but I do encourage them to fact check. http://factcheck.org/ and http://www.snopes.com/ are good resources.

And military service is something that matters to me. A candidate with it automatically gets respect another one can never have, regardless of other issues, and I'm curious if other veterans feel the same way.

Happy Holidays!
After Governor Palin "pardoned" her Thanksgiving turkey at the Wasilla poultry farm, the Liberal Media tricked her into giving an interview while a farm worker behind her fed turkeys into a machine that looks a little bit like the wood chipper in "Fargo." Given that the Governor sounds quite a lot like Marge Gunderson, the whole thing is pretty spooky.
