Well, Culpepper shot 35 yesterday morning, which was a terrible bummer, but then he followed up with a 25 and everybody felt a little better.

AJJ, coming out and shooting Cowboy with us this Saturday?

Twilla is shooting silhouette now and practice scores are in the mid 30's/40. Pretty soon, I'll be carring her gear and watching!

After we "rest" up, we will be sending out the results. The highlight of the match as the Grudge match between Blackburn and Kessey with slungshots!

Spottin' Kitty will have pics up soon I am sure.

Great match David. Thanks again..

BTW - Gene was looking for small, round ballisticly perfect, slingshot size rocks all the way home. Also appears to be working on upper body strength and dominant eye exercises. Seems to think he was set-up by the locals with inferior ammo and y

Will have "select" pics up sometime today.....Am sorting out the ones that are blackmail worthy.....Have some 350 shots to sort through. David will send out instructions as to how to get a copy of a CD with all the shots. All shots will be of high enough resolution to make up to 8X10 prints.

Thanks David, I do believe it was the best yet!

To all who were there you know, to all who were not, if I have to explain you will never understand.

Now it is time to get ready for next year.

Was it a real sling shot match or was it a trick with fishing line run to the turkeys that a shooter from Texas pulled on another one from Colorado years ago?

Here are the results

A young kid won the air rifle competition
A grown man from Georgia won the 22 lr
An older gentleman won the slingshot competition, it was through a sudden death shoot off -how exciting-
Duckgumbo won the beer drinking competition
and Mark Pharr won the shrimp eating contest at Sanders( I took second )

All other results maybe more accurate but not as important.

Ringer asks a reasonable question and I am embarrassed not to be able to give a more detailed response. I was confused, some. The hunter rifle scores in the first match Saturday were low for virtually everybody. Funny, mysterious conditions at the long animals?
The man from Georgia must have been Troy Lawton in the Hunter rifle aggregate. For you lurkers, he's reading the book in Jon's photo.
Bill Motl from Texas won the standard rifle with 36/36. Very hearty agg, Bill.
Carroll Barber borrowed my unmodified 1712, supplied his own, vintage Fed UltraMatch ammo, and shot 38 in the second Hunter match. All in da spotta.
I won the second AAA Standard match with 33. I know you were on pins and needles about that , Ringer. Thanks for the opportunity to slip that in. Dawg won (didn't you, Dawg?) the morning AAA match, with a hunting rifle, score 35. I'm sure he was cheating but I shot right beside him and never could figure out how.
I'd guess at more but fear the humiliation of being wrong. Too wrapped up in my own toils, apparently.
