An apology......... SCN
The cancellation of Small Caliber News has been on my mind for quite some time, and I have been receiving e-mails from some of the members here, and well as other forums about not receiving refunds for their subscriptions. My guess is that you won't.
I feel party responsible for that because some of you signed up to support the Rimfire Department of the magazine and my writing, at my request. For that, I apologize for of you getting screwed out of your money. Unfortunately, I can't really do anything about it, and I truly am sorry.
The owner, Charlie K (owner of Dakota Arms) pulled the plug on the magazine without any warning to the writers or the editor, Todd. Since the writers were not paid by the magazine, it didn't cost us a last paycheck or anything like that, but it also didn't require him to share any of his plans with us in regards to the magazine.
I feel this has driven another nail in the coffin of printed rimfire media, and has taken us a big step backwards overall.
At this time, there is no more SCN, and while it's up for sale, I don't know what's gonna happen with it. Since then, I have moved to Precision Shooting and I'm hoping that I can build a new Rimfire Department over time.

I hope Charlie K sleeps good at night knowing how many people he took money from and screwed over, all while knowing he was pulling the plug.
People that do business like him should be put in jail with the key thrown away.
(Have other thoughts, but they need to go Behind the Berm)
Steve it's not your fault and no need for you to appoligize for those thieves.

Steve, stuff happens. Of course, if the guilt drives you to update "the Rifleman's Guide to Rimfire", we'll call it even.

It's enough to turn you to the dark side, isn't it. It helps having an agent or friends that are complete snakes, provided you have enough on them.
Hey, I didn't start out to be this way...
Your book is a basic reference for any rimfire shooter and it's well worth waiting on your next effort.

All of this, is not on Steve B. Steve, I do not know you for nothing. I have not read any of your writings. From what I have heard, an incredible amount of time and effort has gone into everything you have done. I respect thet sir.
What I do know is that Charlie Kokesh is not an honorable man. My two close friends who used to own Nesika Bay Precision rifles, got screwed big time when they closed up shop here in Poulsbo, WA and moved to Sturgis to team up with Dakota Arms.
Mike was a certified metalurgist and he is not even working within his accredited field of expertise. Glenn has now started a new rifle action company in Montana.
So any harsh words, during moments of anger, perhaps should be directed at Dakota Arms and the CULLS who finance and run that F@$%&*g rippoff Company.!!!
