California State Smallbore Championship

Here is a link to some pics of the match.

There were only two relays, so not much time to shoot pics. Jay and Ted of the Avenal Gun Club did a great job of putting on the match, with the exception of the weather, it was 112 degrees on Saturday, with dust devils strong enough to move a gun case (empty) 20 feet.

Dennis Dadian was match winner, with a 72/80, which considering the conditions is incredible.

Yours truly managed to finish dead last in Standard class on Saturday, and I managed to take third place AA in Hunter class on Sunday. This was my first State Championship match, so I was really pleased.

Many thanks to my spotter, Rudy Montano, a great guy i met at the match.

Great pictures young man...It's hard to remember that I made so many of those sexy guns in the racksso many years ago...., plus the scope mopunting systems on so many of those rifles...let alone the custm trigger gaurds on rifles that I did not make...I guess I am just getting old...Time has a way of catching up with us all of us.
