Here are some pictures of my Remington 40x Rimfire. Mark brought it to me Saturday and stayed to shoot our club match. It made weight of 8lb 7-1/2 oz with 18x40 Leupold, 8lb 6-1/2 with a weaver 36x. It turned out just like I wanted. Shot it a little and it did pretty good considering the wind. I will do some more testing when I catch a day with less wind.

That is a sweet piece man, is that a mark pharr stock design that everyone talks about? I like the burl on that stock...

WOW, that is beautiful. Are 40x actions still available from Remington. I have heard alot about them but never see them. What kind of trigger do they have.

Guys,

Guess I should give some details,

Koldkut, It is the Pharr Split finger design, he sent his patern to the carver along with the maple blank.

Kevin, The 40x is still available from Remington but only as a complete rifle. I picked up a barrelled action from the CMP to be able to build this.

It has a Lilja barrel and that is a Jewell trigger with a shoe attached.

Don't you need to move the scope back a little before I shoot it in winnie for ya.....or was that engle, davis........

Looks great hope to get a dance with it soon.

Beautiful piece of work. The figure in the grain ought to be worth 5 targets across the course at least.....Did you keep the stock trigger or go with something else?

What rings do you have those scope mounted in? They look sturdy for sure.

The scope is further back now, I changed it to my 18x40 and still made weight. Not by much but it is legal on my scale, will have to check it on the scale they are going to use at Texas state. Wish I could make Winnsboro, but I have to pass this year.

Jason,

The rings came from Marvin "the metal Head" Pearson. Built in taper so I don't have to shim. Mark coated the action and all of the other parts (trigger shoe, rings, & triiger gaurd) to match. I think I may have to have someone jewell the bolt as a last touch.
