You know, not everyone can say they've had silicone squirted in their ear by an Olympic gold medalist and hall of fame inductee.......Ought to be a real conversation starter.....
Counting down to Jacksonville......looking forward to seeing you and mama bear, and even Waldorf.....

To Everyone:
I just want to thank all of you for your votes, words and support for my recent election to the USOC Hall of Fame. I was told that I had the second most popular votes and it is all due to you and those you sent emails to. I didn't think it would be possible to be selected since it is mostly a popularity and name recognition contest. I guess you should never under estimate the gun community. It is a great honor to be selected and have the shooting sport receive the recognition it deserves. Hopefully this will open the door for others who deserve the recognition. Again, thanks for the support.

Can this be true, and does someone know how to check it out?
I seem to remember something from a "Precision Shooting" article a few years ago to the effect that Lanny Bassham's son had just won the National Smallbore Three Position Championship for the third time, which was quite an accomplishment for such a grueling and competitive course of fire. Only one other guy had three championships as well.
And if either of them could manage to win just 18 more, he would tie Lones Wigger.

I cannot think os a more deserving individual than Wig to get this honor. When you read the other inductees for this year, it really makes one take note. Lones is not only a great Olympian but one of the most humble individuals that I have met. He is personable and I am proud to say that I have shared a beer with him at the Southern Nationals. As far as Limey buying the beer, we KNOW who furnishes the beer - Budweiser!
