Footwear?

Post by tmarshall »

How many shooters wear sneakers vs. lace up boots? I read where ankle support is very important. Can anyone suggest a good boot to wear. I have not shot in boots lately.

I compromised with high-top basketball shoes. ;) Actually I wouldn't mind getting some hiking boots or something just to keep my feet warmer at this time of year, and drier during the wet months. BC gets pretty wet, hehe.

I wear regular hiking boots , it somehow helps in keeping me steady.

Also it is important to wear boots when you are in the vicinity of the BS award winners, there are times that the boots aren't enough.

If you get ducky,dawg,chuck,evelio,massey,kitty,mary,paul,mark,2row,allan, etc.... together you will need waders.

Mary, Where have you been hiding???

Barefoot may work in the south, but would not work up here in the North Country. Even boots don't help on some days

This is the Pacific Northwest, where the rain and drizzle never stop. We find that flippers work best year 'round....

Did I forget to mention my penchant for heels?

Bob,
Work is crazy during the winter, then they added an ax man to run around asking lots of questions, too.
Notice the time of the previous posting, I was up for getting caught up on some stuff. I'll still shoot barefoot in cold weather.

Mordecai,
I like the footware, but those heels are just too high for me, wouldn't be able to duck behind the Dawg for a wind break in them.

My 15 year old son out shoots me by 6-12 animals per match with 1/4 the practice. So maybe it is his dirty smelly running shoes with no socks that are the key. They give his room an ambience that only a teen could love.

Honestly I'm considering it next match.

mordecai, I meant to mention how well those things make your calves look! What happens in Tacoma, stays in Tacoma.

Those things have a disturbing kind of appeal... Maybe it's just memories of last spring and the OFGC River Range & Water Park.

Kitty,
The "feet" have already been posted...they should recognize them by now.
I sure never have any of the heels on, wouldn't want to flaunt the calves too much.....

Mary, I knew I could count on you for that 'bare foot' thing. You have been doing it for years.
