NRA Shooting Sports
Irish764, The problem with the notices on SSUSA is there's a 3 month lag time for posting. In order for events to show up on the sight or in the magazine they need to be sent in 3 months in advance.
Ex. If you wanted something posted in the January 2008 issue you would have had to send in the info to the NRA by October of 2007. Not many clubs have there schedules ready that early in the season. Around March is when the events really get posted.
There's a SB Silhouette shoot in Factoryville, PA on March 9 and April 13, 2008.

no matches until august
I think that the matches they have listed are for last year. I have been complaining about the great speed in which the NRA gets the coming events posted. My pistol matches were approved in Nov. or Dec. but don't seem to be listed. If you want to know when matches are look at the "where" section of this website. Steelchickens does a way better job than our national organization with all their money seems to be able to do.

There is activity in the tri-state area of Anderson, SC - Asheville, NC - Hiawassee GA - Rutherfordton (sp), NC but that is a pretty good haul from where you appear to be (2 to 3 hours +/-). Having said that, the bunch from these clubs travel a minimum of 2 hours to visit the other ones mentioned. Most (all) are shut down for the winter.

So What else is new with the NRA. Nobody's matches are posted, we don't have score books which from what I heard is not coming back from the printers until Feb. maybe???? Which means we won't bet them till April or May if we are lucky. But they sure want your money ASAP.
