Anschutz 64R Stock for Silhouette..Will trade for Standard.

I modified an Anschutz 64R stock for silhouette. Milled, glass bead, textured, painted, clearcoated. Does it look okay? I do need a short mag release lever if anyone has one? Thanks. PHYTCLUB

nice looks ok to me, i pondered doing the same since i really wanted a 64 msr that is no longer made.the only differece seems to be the cheek is a bit shorter, but damn it came out nice! what did you use for the strippling on the bottom? it looks like the stock dosnt extend more than 2" below the center of the bore line, so all is well how does she shoot?

You did a nice job on that stock. I did something similiar to a stock on a Remington 540XR. How did you do that texturing on the bottom? I like it!

I measured everything out milled it and sanded the excess off. I then taped off the parts I didn't want to glass bead with this really heavy duct tape called Gorilla tape? Bead blasted the bottom, wiped it down with a tack cloth, and textured it with spray trunk liner available at any local Auto parts store. Just remember to remove the tape before texture dries or it will come off with the tape. You then tape it up again after it sits over night, paint it flat black let it sit over night again, and clear coat it. Its durable and hard as nails.

That really looks nice, I hope is not too late, but make sure is 2" from the center line of the bore to the bottom of the stock.
I actually have done 6 stocks that way, but I spray the trunk liner all over them, it is really durable, and also fairly soft, and for sure it will not slip.

It shoots very well, I just got a chance to take it to the range today, INDOORs its only about 12 degrees here today. Don't the rules actually say 2-1/4" from the center of the bore? It measures about 2-1/8.

(d) Stock: The stock must be traditionally styled and may not be bent and/or twisted so as to deviate from conventional configurations such as factory rifle stocks or silhouette stocks as manufactured by Fajen, McMillan, H-S Precision, and others. The forend, including the trigger guard mounts and screws, shall not exceed 2 1/4 inches wide, and 2 1/4 inches deep measured from the centerline of the bore. Magazines do not have to conform to stock measurements but those that extend below the stock line may not be used as support. The forend shall extend a minimum of 8 inches forward of the forward edge of the receiver ring. The comb shall not extend above the centerline of the bore, but Monte Carlo roll may rise 1/2 inch on the off side. The toe of the stock including buttplate or recoil pad shall be no more than 7 inches below the centerline of the bore. Buttplate or recoil pad may not extend below the lower line of the stock.

I modified my Anschutz 64R stock to shoot silhouette and my local dealer then got in an Anschutz 54.18MS-R with the thumbhole stock in on trade!! So I bought it. If anyone has a factory 64R stock like the one shown in the pic, or a 64MPR stock they would like to trade for my modified 64R stock I would be willing to trade.
