PHARR OUT CZ?

I NOTICED THAT CHICKEN GEORGE HAD A CZ INLET PHARR STOCK LISTED HAS ANY ONE DONE ONE IF SO......HOW 'BOUT A PIX

I LOVE EVERY THING ABOUT MY 452 VARMINT EXCEPT THE STOCK

BROOKS SPRING AND A AUTOMATION SOLUTION AJUSTABLE SEAR.

I thought about doing the same thing, but I just couldn't justify the economics of putting a $400 rifle in such an expensive stock. My Varmint was a shooter and I hated to let it go. But I knew it wasn't going to be a lasting relationship. I liked the heavy barrel and the forward weight. It shot great groups off sandbags. But I wanted a cheek peice stock, lower heel, and more vertical pistol grip.

In the end, I concluded that the 452 trigger was its weak point, so I sold it and got a 1712.

Let us know what you decide.

Observation: If you're serious enough about silhouette to consider a Pharr stock, just get the 1712 and be done with it because you're going there anyway.

I have re-stocked 3 ZC's, so far, they look and shot great, but unless they shoot really good now, I could not justify the cost of doing it.

Master what? If we go on "know ability", it's BS of which I have never seen him win a trophy, but he keeps trying.

DAWG I don't know if you are refering on your post about me, but if you are, you are probably correct, to some degree, this year I won a 7th place at the Nationals in AAA class, only on one of the daily match, also was tied for 1AAA in the Texas lever action match,and I am sorry to admit it, but my shooting has gone to shit, I hope that when you get to be 65 years young you can still hold a rifle !!!!!!!
By the way, I have never seen you at any Nationals Matches ??????
But anyway I really love to pull the trigger, at whatever is out there, and I also love to get together with the guys at the matches, if I win something great, and if I don't, I still enjoy the company of the best bunch of people I ever met.
And don't forget, I can still win some good door prices, two KOWA spotting scopes in less than a year, is not bad.

BlauBear, I agree with you, Why spend that money, Save it get a 1712, put it in the stock and be done with it. If I know now what I did not know back then, Would not have spent all that money going though 5 different rifles to get where I am at now. But everyone has to learn on there own.

Their triggers suck (relatively speaking to real guns on the line). I have one with a brooks kit, and I still tell myself it's pretty good, but after I shoot my 64MSR and my fellow shooter's 1712s I admit inside that I am a child whistling in the dark.

That is the major reason there's a RT/S being made and a 1712 at Evelio's waiting to go in it with my name on it as we type!!

I was speaking of the coveted BS awards give out at all three Trifecta matches. Guess the meaning got lost in the translation. Never been to the nationals due to job requirements, almost made it this year. Wish I had, shooting on swingers has to be the pinnacle of our sport.

Boy, reading that again I made that sound really harsh! Actually their triggers aren't bad for what they are, and many like them. I've found that most folks that say they have a good CZ trigger haven't used an Annie trigger to compare with. My CZ Silo's trigger is a tad above legal for hunter and the creep is only perceptible when I'm really trying to feel it, not when firing. But when you're talking $500 worth of stock and inletting/bedding, there's better investments out there. If you have a really, really accurate CZ and you want to keep it and shoot it forever, and don't mind tossing the money at it it would be a cool project.







-but you'll wind up with a 1712 later probably.
