Shooting complex at Cody,Wy
The Civilian Marksmanship Program in conjunction with the state of Wyoming is building a 2000 acre shooting facility.
Now would be a great time to ask CMP and Wyoming state to include SB,HP,Leveraction silhouette at Cody.

It's not at Cody its at Meteetse.
Cmp doesn't have much to do with the thing.'
It's basically going to be a 19 million dollar state funded trap range for the Cody gun club.
The boondoggle that is being built is a far cry from what it started out to be. In its original form it was to be a World class shooting range that encompassed the full range of shooting sports.
Bids went out to all the communities in the state . The original call was for close to interstate highway and commercial airport. Gillette/Campell county had the best proposal, and had the politicos picked that one it would have been near completion. The legislative committee was composed of not a single competitive shooter that had experience with a "world class" shooting range. And after a number of competitive shooters sent letters to one of the committee , that member was removed. The only shooting range a few select members of the committee toured was that thing Colorado built in an abandoned strip mine near Grand Junction.
Casper also presented a proposal to take the original 10 million and put those improvements into existing ranges.
So what we have in the end is they just turned the first shovel of dirt just north of Meteetse, over 100 miles to an interstate and a very long way from a commercial airport. They drilled a well, best they could get is 5 gallons a minute it's not potable, so there will be another massive expense to get water enough to hold a competion of more than 1 day.
