Where to Shoot and/or Observe?
I live about two hours or so North of Charleston, SC on the coast....... about an hour south of Wilmington, NC, Two and a half hours or so from Columbia, SC and Raleigh,NC and around 4 hours from Charlotte, NC. Can anyone give me an idea where they have a silo shooting range or events anywhere within no more than two to three hours from Home?
Thanks
Thanks

Club just below Research Triangle Park between Durham and Raleigh shoots Silhouette. Problem is Shooting Sports is digital now and I don't save the file so can't give you the contact information. Send email to NRA they should be able to give you the detail

Re: Where to Shoot and/or Observe?
Over the past few weeks I have surfed the web and located a few places that are supposed to be having events. So Far my phone calls and emails have not been acknowledged or returned. Including asking for information and assistance from the NRA Disappointing, to say the least. If anyone has a person to contact, let me know. I have ordered a set of steel targets and plan on shooting this thing, even if I have to do it myself.

I try to answer inquiry's about my match same day, unfortunately not all match directors do the same, many are just not computer literate. NRA's data is limited by how the local match director responds.
Send me a PM with were you are looking, may know some of the guys

I think the specific information you need for the closest matches to you (that are listed in Shooting Sports USA) are as follows:
Dec 10 - New Holland, SC - about 3.5 hrs away from Myrtle Beach, SC
Contact Info - R. Lutz 803-640-9257 email: [email protected]
128 Highland Forest Dr
Aiken, SC 29803
Dec 17 - South Congaree, SC (near Columbia, SC)- about 3 hrs away from Myrtle Beach
Contact Info - W. Robinson 803-359-0058 email:[email protected]
709 Ballpark Rd
Lexington, SC 29072
If you want to drive to the mountains of Western North Carolina - about 2 hours from Columbia, SC - I have a match on Dec 3. I would love to have you up here to shoot - just dress in layers because it could be cold & snowing or warm. We won't know until we wake up that morning!!!
If you want to call during working hours - 828-687-2144 I can give you specific information.
We will start up again in March 2012 - 2nd Saturday. You might want to make it a weekend trip in the Spring/Summer!!

Shooting Star, Thank you for the information! So far, I plan on getting to the event in South Congaree on 17 Dec as I am off that day. Not sure about shooting, but I will bring my rig and see what happens. I am hoping to watch and learn.ShootingStar wrote:steveyacht wrote:I live about two hours or so North of Charleston, SC on the coast....... about an hour south of Wilmington, NC, Two and a half hours or so from Columbia, SC and Raleigh,NC and around 4 hours from Charlotte, NC. I work the majority of Saturdays, so the puts a damper on getting too far from home.
Hopefully, with the help of some of my friends, we will be able to set up our own shoots in this area.
Thanks again,
Steve
