Pistol Silhouette Forum on here?

Way back when Steelchickens had just hatched and was its formative period, I seem to remember that we had a vote on whether we'd have a cowboy lever action silhouette forum or a pistol silhouette forum. The cowboy forum got more votes and we got that forum. Over the past couple of years, I've dabbled in shooting hunter pistol and smallbore hunter pistol silhouette and have had some questions that I was hoping other, more experienced folks could help with. I tried the pistol silhouette forum on Graybeard's forum and even posted a couple here, but wasn't really sure where to put them.

Now that this is by far the best place for silhouette information, what are the chances of having a pistol silhouette forum on here? To be specific, I'm talking about NRA hunter pistol and smallbore hunter pistol, not IHMSA. I guess it wouldn't hurt to benefit from the IHMSA guys' knowledge, but I'm not really interested in any silhouette shooting that's not done standing up with nothing more than hands touching the gun. I don't think we should discriminate based on my preferences, though.

What do you folks think? Any opinion on it, Mordecai? I've got some 22 hornet load questions that I'm just itching to have be the first posts in the new forum.

You can try Northeast Shooters.com they may have some thing your looking for. Not to redirect anyone from this site but there are a few who shoot pistol there and they may have some answers for ya.

What did you want to know about the hornet ? I shoot it in a TC with a 10 inch barrel and I know ole gator shot it also..

I would rather keep this topic focused on getting the new forum instead of discussing the loads here. Sounds like there would be answers ready to go if we can get the forum, though.

I think the compatibility of Hunters Pistol and the Lever rifle events have boosted both, and NRA Hunters pistol is pretty big anyway..... Given that, maybe we can use a place to keep all those things focused...

Ok.. no timeline for sure, but a pistol forum is coming. I'm still holding onto my 22 Hornet load questions in anticipation!
