A Blast For Silhouette Shooters
This event is held in Gateway, Co. about an hour south of Grand Junction, Co. on the Utah border. Shooting at beer can size exploding targets from 100 to 275 yds off hand with a HP rifle just comes natural to a silhouette shooter. Good rifle shooters are very welcome here. The more explosions, the more ticket sales soar. I have done well ($) in the past. This event sees 600 to 800 shooters all trying their luck through out the day. For a long time it was held twice a year. http://www.acsol.net/~firedept/dynamite.html

Bob, Got the stock the other day, opened it the day after, thanks it wasn't green. I haven't seen you post anything before the CRC cover, I thought maybe your boss was wanting some work out of you, other than posting on SC, patinting your stock, making a grand slam ram trophy, ect, ect. I myself have been busy pulling sight in service at BA, for the Hassayampa Club. Have you ever been driving down the road and see someone try to make a left hand turn from the right lane? That pretty much explains the sight in service. A couple of things though. One guy was so excited about getting his rifle sighted in, going hunting, he was kind of like a little puppy that is so excited that it just pees all over itself, I would have traded my last three deer for him to get one this year, another came up and handed me his rifle, a Ruger Mark 1, 7mm Mag, said that he has owned it since he was 14, he was probably my age, I ask him if he had owned it since he was 14 or hadn't cleaned it since he was 14. Finally John Orn had a guy that wanted his rifle hitting six inches high at 100 yards in case he had one of those long canyon shots. John said that he didn't want to tell the guy that he was paying for someone else to sight in his rifle and he was looking to shoot clear across a long canyon!

Hey there JB,.... Yea, I really wanted to suprise you with a coat of that EVELIO GREEN paint on that SA Classic stock but thought better of it. I haven't heard from my bank, so I guess your check was good. And I have been actually busy at work this week, no gun projects, well one. I went over to Sportsmans Warehouse last night and wisely reinvested the money towards two 5lb. jugs of RL-15. It is the powder of choice for both my .308's and the 7x57. Seems the cost of propellants has not gone up in price too much. I paid $82. ea. for the RL-15. But a look at the poor selection and dwindling supply of bullets was shocking. A 100 pk. of Sierra .30 cal. 168MK was $28.50! 165 GameKings were $23.50! Well got to go. I'm heading to CRC to check progress on the line cover. I will post more photos tonite.

Green
Bob, for some reason or another, I get the feeling you don't like the color of the GREEN MACHINE, you better get used to it, it has been in the winning circle, ever since it was build, including all 3 of the Trifecta matches, and the Nationals, the owner just shot a 55 out of 60 last Sat.
I tell you what, it is real easy to find in a rack full of guns.
Evelio.

Easy guys - Evelio will get the big head and raise his prices...psteiger wrote:nope, it shot a 54. Bill shot 51/60 in Standard, and 54/60 in Hunter. It did win the shootoff, though. Against another one of your guns..........

Bob, for some reason or another, I get the feeling you don't like the color of the GREEN MACHINE........................Evelio, on the contrary. This is definately a case of "internet mis interpretation". I LOVE this color and will proudly display, carry and use this rifle at any match anywhere. Others have plainly stated their feelings towards the color. But I really do like how it came out and am glad you had the "green machine" shown in your advertizement. Back a month or so, I was wanting to change the color of that stock. Been looking at that "earth tone" color since 95. I was sick of it. That green was just the ticket. My references to "EVELIO GREEN" were purely meant complimentry. I would like to see an actual photo of the Green Machine posted here. Also, nice shooting last week, Pat.

Green
Pat, I stand corrected, 54 it is
Bob, the green color is actually the John Deere green with yellow granite.
I did posted several pictures, I believe is under Mean Green Machine, probably about 7 or 8 months ago.

Evelio, that is a fine looking stock.......but my Skittles green more closely matches the computer generated color in your add.......therefore my paint job has a much higher "bling" factor (almost off the scale) than the Green Machine does. No offense. We may need a ruling on this by the "Godfather of Bling" himself. .......Bob M.

Green
Now Bob, that is really green, also is that one of the H and S stock????
I have several of them, and I really liked them, but got away from them when I went to a single gun for both classes.
NO you are not on my shit list, as a matter of fact, I don't have one, I try my best to get along with every body, a little jass now and then is find, but to tell you the truth, if I had a shit list, after the match in Zwolle a couple of weeks ago, I would put "Dawg" in it.
Good looking stock.
Regards Evelio.
