2016 TX State Smallbore Championship Results
Congratulations to Dustin Flint for taking the Standard Class Aggregate by winning both matches today. Conditions were challenging due to wind and some cold temperatures this morning. Forgot to take a picture of the scoreboard but my spreadsheet is attached.

The TX State travelling trophy is headed to Louisiana once again. Dustin Flint took the overall championship. He and Mark Pharr tied for the Hunter Class aggregate, with Mark Pharr winning the shootoff.
Scoreboards and the Governor's 20/Postal results are below. Thanks to everyone who came, and especially to everyone who helped out with cleanup, etc.

Big thanks to Heidi, Bobby, David, Austin Rifle Club, and everyone else that helped to put on the match.
Also, thanks to Lapua and Mark Pharr for the bricks of SK Rifle Match and Standard Plus for prizes and to Cabela's for the gift bags.

Re: 2016 TX State Smallbore Championship Results
We had a great time at Austin Rifle Club this weekend! The match was top-notch!
Thanks and congrats to Heidi, Dave and Bobby - this was their first stab at running a match and it went off without a hitch! Heidi was even able to find time to shoot the match and take home a couple of awards. It is NOT EASY to run the show and shoot - great job Heidi!
The trophy is home and resting well in its normal spot. We will make sure and keep it clean and out of this Louisiana humidity. It will be back in Texas at next year's state match in Beaumont - but just for the weekend...

Great job. We had fun. Some new shooters, which was great. Thanks for everything.
Congrats to Dustin. The biggest wiener. I think Elisabeth is planning an assault in August for your state match.

Hey, can someone help out a guy still trying to figure this stuff out?
What the heck is the "Governor's 20 List" anyway?
Now that I'm on an official "list" it wouldn't be a bad idea to know what it's about.

It will be about time that she shows up for a match! With her "job" and Nicholas's "graduation" and too busy "skydiving" she has already burned through three excuses! We are not going to be fooled many more times.psteiger wrote: I think Elisabeth is planning an assault in August for your state match.

Dustin, Graduations and jobs are legitimate excuses. She only throws herself out of airplanes on days off. She has never not gone to a match because of that. She did ask if you were man enough to come join her for a jump. I mentioned that you would use the excuse that Whitney wouldn't let you.
I'd be willing to bet a Texas Team could put a good whuppin on a team from Louisiana. You game? Or are y'all chicken? Give me a shout later and we can hash out the details......

I think the logical solution to this is to simply combine the two events. Sky Silhouette anyone?
I am NOT Danny Hatch.

All right boys, don't make me separate you two.
Dustin - Pat is just having trouble dealing with being Low Steiger again. The boys probably rubbed it in all the way home.
Pat - At least Dustin shows up to the matches.
Allen - thanks for reminding me to express gratitude to Adam Braverman at Lapua for the generous donation of awards/door prizes. And yes, Cabelas was also very generous.
And since Dave decided to jump off a cliff, ummmm, I mean volunteer to be match director again in 2018, if anyone has any comments or suggestions of how we could have made the match even better, please post here or message me.
