Where to buy bullets

Post by krgriggs »

Bought a 7mm-08 for shooting high power silhouette haven't shot a match yet. Now I canT find match type bullets, been looking at midway, mid south, powder valley ect. Where are you getting your bullets for this shooting season. I can buy molds which I can do but haven't heard of anyone shooting cast bullets for this game. Might not be able to shoot it if everyone's out of bullets.

Call Lapua, no gosh darn it they don't make a 7mm bullet. You could try swabbing your bore with preparation h and when it shrinks about twenty thousands, then call Lapua! What do you think Goatru?

Good thing I can screw my barrel off to change calibers to others I have on hand 6mm and 6.5mm, I have a savage action ...But I have found some 7mm bullets at weidners and Basspro....maybe not what I would like but the lighter bullets still work fine in my 7mm br my currently installed barrel. good luck shopping.

there are 168mks for 7mm listed in 'marketplace' section...i bought the 150s...old paper boxes..corrosion in HP.. one of my mentors at Sierra says "fagetabotit, they fine, been in high humidity, not a problem" so I'll be sending them downrange this year. reasonably priced too.
These days we take what we can find, I'm loading stuff now out of components i would have turned my nose up at a decade ago...140 game kings at rams???? why not... 6.5 shooters hit em with 140s...find something, anything that will group MOA or better and come have fun. 139 hornady SP and 140GK Sierra have each delivered 1-1.5" groups @200 with several different 7-08 barrels......your misses won't likely be due to ammo for at least a season or two, promise :D
