None of them come from critical areas. :shock:

just in case someone thinks I would actually take a part off, no. these are loose, laying around, that someone else removed, or fell off. #:-s

I bought them on line, and a few blanks.

Most likely, the metal (or at least the ore) came from the former Soviet Union. They have most of the world supply of the raw material. In fact, one of the great secrets of the Cold War involved a variety of front companies created for the purpose of buying Soviet titanium which was used in the construction of...the SR-71.

And while you're at it, don't forget to recess the holes for the center drilled titanium action screws so you can shorten them by, say 60%, and get the weight down a lot more. ;-)
