More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Good high power spotting scope

Post by ter »

Hopefully I can get started with some hp this year. I have a 65 mm Leica APO scope now. Should I get a 100 mm ED celestron? A standard 80 mm Kiowa is another choice I guess. I really don't have a budget, I just wanted to do it right the first time. I also have a pair of Swarovski 15x56 binoculars, but I gues that is not enough magnification.

You have $3,000.00+ Leica spotting scope and you don't think that is enough??? Haha.

What power eye piece do you have in the Leica? There is absolutely no reason not to use your Leica.

Well... if you have no budget and you really want the best for HP theses are the answer...

These are what the folks from WA state are using and you have no eye strain when spotting. But your set up should work fine if you have a variable eyepiece.
