Is there any restrictions on what material can be used in SB Silhouette stock?

I'm thinking any thing that is radio active might get you pitched, as far as I know all else is legal

fabrics, metals, organic materials are all game as long as it fits the jig and doesn't improve the hold on a hunter gun.......

Koldkut,
Must be staying awake at night if you are scheming up new stock materials.

I've never seen a newborn that is as quiet or pays as much attention to things as this one. Don't get me wrong, he still cries and gets upset every now and again. almost sleeps through the night, we woke him up last night at 130am to feed and change him before he woke us up to do the same.

With the stocks, I've got visions of stock foreend checkering in flames down the length of a piece of that fine curly maple that STS had done.

We here in the NW would like to see a moss-covered cedar stock, something to soak up the rain...

I think I want to hollow out a spot in the pistol grip and one just ahead of the magazine so I can stuff those little disposable handwarmers in them for match day. :)

I was thinking the same thing about the hand warmers, except to make a smaller pouch with a vynal covering so I could slip a handwarmer under it. Lots of things to consider. I think this summer I want to try to build my first stock. I'm sure the special router bits and access to the mortissing machine are going to cost me more than tha gun itself.

But you will have made it, that in itself would be great to me.
