Most Humble Apology
My most humble apologies to anyone and everyone who I may have offended by anything I posted under the title of "cheater rifles". I actually was seeking honest input with this initial post concerning only the issue of specific rifles, not specific competitors.
When I was playing football in highschool and someone laid a hit on me, I didn't miss a later opportunity during the practice or game to payback a good hit. When boxing in golden glove competition if the opponent landed a right, I countered with a right. When playing poker as an adult, when someone bluffed, I called if I had a winning hand (or thought so). If someone attacks me verbally or in writing, I defend against all untruths.
I can assure everyone, even those who do not personally know me, that my quote from the movie "Tombstone" was made only with regards to a figure of speach. In other words, if anyone has an argument with me as regards silhouette shooting then I will meet them on the firing line with my ammunition and rifle, and enjoy shooting my best scores while doing so. In the past I have always shot only against myself with the only goal being to achieve a higher score than my previous best. That's not to say that I will never make an exception should there be a friendly old time shooting match offered where everyone simply gets one shot at a time, such as at some turkey shoots.
At this time I will repeat myself by extending an apology to anyone who was offended by my postings. Please do not make, or cancel, your plans to attend the nationals at Raton this summer based on anything you may have misinterpreted about fireworks other than what one would normally see on any other silhouette shooting range.
I can assure everyone that all of my physical energy expenditures at Raton will be while on the firing line, holding a rifle and shooting at steel targets. I'm too old to play football anymore, nor to give boxing lessons.
Be humble, be happy, go shoot silhouette..

apology
We all say and do things that we regret...We're guys. What's important is shooting and promoting the sport so that the next generation will want to have fun also and vote pro-gun when they reach voting age.
Masterhandgunner I'll still buy you a coke when I meet you at a match and if you want a friendly side bet of a hamburger, I'll make the friendly wager with you. My nephew and I look forward to shooting with and learning from you. We haven't shot our first "Official" match yet.
