Does anyone have the part number of the savage magazine that fits the anchutz with a little file work?

Jerry, The Savage magazines from Brownells are part number 533-400-355 & work great.

NP. Try them before filing as on some they seem to work with out having to do that. Depends on the year of the rifle, you'll be able to also tell by putting it up to your Anschutz one. Personally I think they work better then the originals and only use them now.

Yeah, what Bob said. I bought a couple and followed the filing instructions before trying them first. Turns out that I didn't need to alter them at all, and in fact the one that I did not file works better than the one that I did. So, try them first. :-bd

I also like them better than the plastic follower/bottom Anschutz magazines.

I have 3 out of 5 OEM Anschutz magazine that will only hold 4 round now. I need to take them apart and see what is going on. I am hoping that all they need is a good cleaning. I have 4 of the Savage mags and they work great, all have the modification.

Good luck,

Make sure you pay attention to which way the spring and the follower go back in when you take them apart.
