1712 sear adjustment?

What is the proper procedure for adjusting the sear on a two stage trigger? Thank you.

Back out the front screw until it is sticking out about 1/8" then play with the side screw, till you get it where you can fill a gentle stop of the first stage, before the second stage breaks.

I'd like to swap the trigger assembly into another gun.I just want it to be safe.
I'm accustomed to setting the single stage triggers-this one is a bit different.
