Triggers?

Other than Anschutz, what other rifles that you could use in standard class could you get a 2oz triggger for/on?

2 oz is a little light but just about any target rifle made would have a good, light trigger.

Try Remington 40X, Winchester 52 with the late Karl Keynon triggers.

That is a Jackson trigger....be careful they are more complicated than you are ready to deal with. Get your degree first.

Look up Jackson trigger, and oh BTW there were two broken Jackson triggers at the HP, and the gunsmiths there (trained) would not mess with them.

Uhh.. yeah. That Jackson trigger has given me fits. I have it set up well now, but it took some effort. I'd still trade it for an Anschutz 5022 in a heartbeat.

Could I put the Jackson trigger on a 40x or would a jewel be easier? And a project like this will be done at the earliest, by the time the nationals are back up in ridgeway 2 years from now. But if a get a piece for the rifle every 6months it will eventually come together. No HP rifles for me! And I kinda like having a challenge so the Jackson may be the "cats meow" for me at least! Mary did you do your trigger on your HP Mexican? If I do a standard rifle I'm gonna make sure it has a 2oz trigger or lighter, just something I like.

Jackson triggers are, like Mary said, complicated to say the least. There are differences between the first generation and the second generation models..I think you would be happier with a Jewel. IMHO

I second or third that... I got rid of the Jackson and went to a Jewel on mine.

Ok, good, jewels are cheaper anyways! Plus I didn't want a 2stage. Just an extremely light single! I'll just have to see how things materialize!

I actually went from a Jewell single-stage to a Jackson 2-stage and don't regret it. I still like the Anschutz 5022 better, though.

CZ 453 has a set trigger which can be adjusted to 2-3 oz.
