Shimming a HP?

Steel IS Real and best left on a barrel and not rings. McAlice my rifle doesn't need that much windage that I'd resort to the bases (straighten your barrel or square up those holes before you tap) ....then again you are windy :))
holton....we old guys used to use 308's; ask Wheaton. what we discovered was that a little less weight and better BC got better results; FYI the 190 30cal is the same length as the 175 sierra hunting bullet...and the 175 performed better. The point was that 7's have options....6.5s are fine. ... Hell one took out JFK...a 6.5 carcano :wink:
