2011 Louisiana State Smallbore Championships

The dates have been set for the 2011 Louisiana State Smallbore Championships. We will have a two day match consisting of two 40 round matches each day. The dates are April 30-May 1. Practice will be Friday April 29 after 3PM. The match will be held at the Ascension Parish Sheriffs Range in Gonzales, Louisiana.

In the current issue of Shooting Sports from the NRA, the dates for the 2011 Louisiana State Smallbore Championships is wrong. The correct dates are April 30- May 1. 67 days until Friday practice for the match. Can I get a head count of people who plan on attending?

Original Mr. Mongo with raccoon tail following "behind": B. Finley and I will be there. B.Finley is a lurker so I respond for him. If wind does not blow us away we will be there day after tommorrow to shoot the February monthly Match. I will try to get a State entry fee check out of my wife asap.

Folks, This is a Match to make. It is in Gonzales, LA. at a very nice Sheriff's training facility. This is the home range of Jerry Tureau in the heart of Cajun Country where the real Bayous are and the best food you ever put in your mouth. The best thing I have ever eaten was Sause Picante on the firing line at a Gonzales monthly Match and I have eaten a lot of different things.

I am going to drag everybody out of Central Mississippi that I can to shoot this Match. It is going to be a good one.

Due to a scheduling conflict made by the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, the dates for the 2011 Louisiana Smallbore State Championships have been changed. The new dates are July 30-31. Practice to be held Friday July 29 after 3PM.

The Sheriff's Office mistakenly scheduled a Friends of the NRA event for Sunday May 1 without checking their calendar. As we are guests of the Sheriff's range, and members of the NRA, we chose to move our event to a date where we could still hold a two day match.

We have also been granted, and firmly put on record, the dates of April 29-30, 2012 for the 2012 Louisiana Smallbore State Championships.

If you have already preregistered and this will be a conflict for you, please contact me for a refund.
