No Argument Here!
I was going down the freeway and this huge pickup passed me at a pretty good pace, it was so big, I'm sure that if the driver was under 6'0" the only way to get into it would be a step ladder. The lady that was in my passenger seat had a theory that guys that drive trucks like that have a shortage somewhere (read Mr. Happy) and have to buy something big to make up for it. I myself had a Ford Ranger at the time, so it made sense to me, then I was wondering could different chamberings come into play with that also? You know those big manly .308's and 7-08's. Then I also wondered if someone on SC drives a fairly big truck and shoots a big manly case?

Hmmmm... Well Jim Ducky drives a big truck, but doesn't shoot HP so I guess it must be someone from Colorado your thinking ofJim Beckley wrote:I was going down the freeway and this huge pickup passed me at a pretty good pace, it was so big, I'm sure that if the driver was under 6'0" the only way to get into it would be a step ladder. I have a different theory about why people drive big cars, trucks, and SUVs. My brother, who is 5'10" and weighs 250 pounds had trouble getting into my car and had a problem with his head bumping against the roof because his butt us so big he sits about 8 inches higher than I do even though we are the same standing height. And relative to a lot of people that you see in the malls, he is not that big.

I'm shocked to think that anyone would think that I was singling someone out! Mary, I'm safe there, Bonner has my bullets and I'm taking my own guns. As an afterthought I had one box of 7mm bullets left that I stuck into the box that I sent to Dave, to give to the Goatru.

Now I get it!!!
I could not understand why Bonner and Doctor Mac (his truck is small by Colorado standards) stopped by today and wanted to borrow my bullet puller and my last bottle of, as Doctor Mac put it, "the g--damn fastest burning pistol powder you have." They said somthing about "teaching a lowrider pickup driver from Arizona a lesson."
If I was someone from Arizona that is fond of driving lowrider pickups (only homos drive those in Colorful Colorado) I would take precautions and bring a full face helmet to St. Louis.

Re: No Argument Here!
Jim T, here in FL those low riders are driven by those still trying to find themselves, very immature. So no telling what JB is up to, but either way it can't be good. My money is on the Guru.

No lowriders here! It is a Toyota Tundra. McAlice is in Utah. The word floating around Az is that the flamers in Colorado are sporting 10th Mountain Div plates.

Re: No Argument Here!
The truth is, Beckley, the people sporting 10th Mountain Division (originated at Camp Hale near Vail) do so as a tribute to that vaunted Division.
As far as "flamers" are concerned these are the only ones associated with the 10th, and they come out of the ends of real weapons.

How does a Ford Ranger turn into a Toyota Tundra. Hope its not one of those new Tundras, my son-in-law wanted one but it would not fit in his garage. He wondered why they made them so large and I explained it had something to do with the owner trying to make up for some bodily shortcomings, or at least that is what I heard on Steelchickens.

Jim T. You can call him Dr. Mac, but I bet I've told you Colorado guys at least three times, even on the match days when Doc Mac throws in the free exams, he is a machinist not a Proctologist!
Bear, I don't think that Jim T. was in the service, he just has a plate because the 10th Mountain originated there. As far as the Marine thing goes, I was fresh out of Jump School, sent to Ft. Bragg, N.C., where they were just coming off alert to go to Zaire, SA to kick some ass, I made the comment that I thought that the Marines were the first to go, a full bird Colonel was standing within earshot and he replied, "Son the only way any Marine is going ahead of us, is if the president dials the wrong number"

This'll never end! Of course, only the Army would jump out of a perfectly good airplane...Jim Beckley wrote:Jim T. Re: No Argument Here!
JB,..thanks for the bullets. Sierra 140 BT's again? I can always use those now obsolete 7mm bullets. I will get them loaded up as soon as I get home from St.Louis.
Now I hear that Trent also will have a use for 7mm bullets having bought his own 7-08. Way to go man, nice choice.
My little plan to snag another HP shooter worked perfectly.

Re: No Argument Here!
I just had to chime in here regarding driving big trucks, etc. I have a Ford F150 4X4 King Ranch and a C6 Corvette coupe. I am probably the most politically incorrect person on this forum and choose to drive the most politically incorrect vehicles and non-green type vehicles because one, I like them and two as long as Al Gore and his bunch of hate mongers spew lies about global warming; I will drive these vehicles. My Dad once remarked when someone asked why he had purchased a motor home that got 6 - 8 MPG, he told them that as long as they printed money he would drive whatever he wanted!
