Remmington X-Mark trigger
My Rem 700 SPS 7-08 came with the adjustable x-mark pro trigger. It was factory set to 3.5 lbs and only adjusts to 3 lbs with the external adjustment. There are are a couple of adjustment screws on the trigger body. Does anyone have experience with adjusting these triggers and can they be adjusted to 2 lbs? I may consider an aftermarket trigger in the future but I've pretty much blown my shooting allowance for awhile

Yes I have adjusted them to just above two pounds. The other two screws would be for overtravel and sear engagement. If you are not sure what you are doing have it done by someone that does.

Take the screw and the spring on the trigger shoe out and throw them away! These triggers are no where near the old 700 trigger.

I should have added this to the previous post, like Yankee stated, if you aren't familiar with triggers you should have a gunsmith perform the work.
