Shooting out in the grasslands.

Post by Bob Mc Alice »

Sara and I spent last weekend about 100 miles NE of Denver in the Pawnee National Grasslands. We have been out there many times antelope hunting, hiking some of the trails in the area and shooting prairie dogs, too. A nice cool front came in for the weekend and both days highs topped out at 75. We got in some hiking around the Pawnee Buttes, took in the great scenery whilst sipping on our favorite beverages several times during the two days, and shot a brick of ammo from our .22's at a little 7 inch hard plate gong I set up . It was a little windy on Sunday so we chose to sit and shoot into the wind at the plate 150 yards distant. Sorry I missed your smallbore match Sunday, Dave. But at least I got some shooting in.

Don't forget...HP this Sunday. Trent, need a gun to use?

Beautiful Bob, never been there on all my trips out to Boulder, but have added it to the list of attractions I need to go see.

Looks like you spent the time polishing the camper :-)

Polishing ? No way, Bob. Thats the way they come...anodized. Wash off the mud and dust ..presto, like new. That is not Airstreams high end model. This one is their mid grade that you dont mind getting mud in or on. I got it for a killer price cause it was a leftover 2008.

What's with this hit em with a 6.5 crap. Remember, every ram that actually falls counts for an X.

Trent, let me be clear. Do you need to borrow one of my man rifles? :D
