Sad News...
It's with a heavy heart that I inform you that I heard of Chip Bunnell's passing earlier today. For most of us in the Northteast, and many of you, Chip will be remembered as a great shooter and friend.

Re: Sad News...
Truely sad news. I competed with Chip for almost 30 years. He was a great competitor, but an even greater friend. Even though he battled cancer for 8 years he continued shooting till just recently. Only last month he attended our HP and CLA matches at CSLC in central PA.
In 2008 I was diagnosed with the same cancer that Chip had. When he found out, he called me on a regular basis to make sure I was progressing well and making smart choices in my treatment. I will never forget this great man. Al Foust

Re: Sad News...
Yes, sad news indeed. I had last spoken to him about 3 months ago to see how he was doing. Unfortunately, he responded that his psa was now around 50(!). He came to our "Lever Action Jubilee" in Ridgway last October when the weather wasn't the greatest (unseasonally cold and windy). I was somewhat surprised to see him there. He said that he did not know how many matches he had left and wanted to make the most of his remaining time.
I will never forget Chip and his positive attitude through it all. I will see him again in God's time.
Here is his obituary.

Cslcal, Glad to hear that he was able to make some of your matches this year. Sorry to learn of your situation. I hope that you are able to beat it.
