Where to buy an Anschutz repeater and other thoughts?

Where can I get a good price on a 54:18 MSR or just the barreled action? I checked champion shooters and they said this wasn't made anymore. This is confusing because I've seen it listed elsewhere? Is there a better choice for an open rifle? I was thinking about building something either off a SAKO P94S action or an older Winchester or Remington. Is this a worthwhile endeavor or should I just cry once and buy an Anschutz 54 repeater action?

It is best to spend that dollar once and if you are thinking it now, you will be wanting it later. Good luck!

Yep... got my 1712 barreled action from Neal Stepp. I had to get on a waiting list for it and twiddle my thumbs until it came, but he had the 54.18MSR barreled actions on hand.
